Plants of the Month

10” Calathea Rufibarba

Calathea Rufibarba (Furry Feather / Velvet Calathea) is native to the tropical rainforests of South America, especially Brazil. It thrives in warm, humid conditions under filtered canopy light.

Care note: It prefers consistent moisture and well-draining soil. Letting it dry out completely can cause brown, crispy edges, while overwatering can stress roots—steady, balanced watering works best.

10” Calathea Zebrina

Calathea Zebrina (Zebra Plant) is a tropical houseplant from Brazil. It thrives in warm, humid environments with bright, indirect light.

Ideal setup: Bright indirect light, consistent moisture with well-draining soil, higher humidity, and warm temperatures.

Varieties of the Month

Cordyline Red Sensation

Vibrant red-to-burgundy foliage with upright growth. Thrives in warm temperatures and bright, indirect light—great for indoor or outdoor color.

Monstera

A tropical favorite known for large leaves with splits/holes. Loves warmth, humidity, and bright indirect light for strong growth.

Ficus Burgundy

A rubber plant variety with deep, glossy leaves that can read as dark green to near-maroon depending on light—bold and modern indoors.

Dracaena Lemon Lime

Upright growth and variegated green-yellow foliage. Low-maintenance, brightens interiors, and tolerates slightly lower light.
